Hello! I’m so glad you’re here. I am an Indianapolis-based licensed clinical social worker who is licensed in the state of Indiana. I have been working as a master’s level therapist for 7 years, and I have enjoyed every moment. I have developed experience in handling a wide variety of mental health concerns through my work in community mental health, hospital-based settings, and working closely with those involved in the legal system.
Through those experiences, one common theme has emerged for me as a clinician – there is always a “why” to the mental health challenges that present in our lives, always somewhere these struggles came from. I view my role as a clinician as someone who walks beside you as you get curious about that “why” and learn how to write the story of your life on your terms, rather than letting your pain write it for you.
My therapy style is one that incorporates insight, compassion, encouragement, reflection, and humor as needed. It is crucial that the therapy space is one where you feel safe enough to grow to be your best self. We prioritize this by building a strong therapeutic relationship where you can feel deeply understood. I am passionate about empowering my clients on their journey to better understand themselves today, make sense of their past, and create the future they have always deserved.
I am trained in a variety of modalities including motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help you reach your goals. My primary clinical focus areas for my individual therapy practice are trauma recovery, mood concerns, attachment and relationship challenges, but I also have significant clinical experience in treating substance use disorders and helping clients thrive in long term recovery.
While born in California, I was raised in the greater Indianapolis area and consider myself a Hoosier through and through! I am a second generation American and greatly value diversity. I am also engaged to my wonderful partner and looking forward to our wedding this summer. We are proud parents to our tiny dog. We enjoy spending our free time with family and friends, camping, listening to live music, trying cuisine from around the world, watching movies, and working in our garden.
